Chat Commerce, playing for real
Four conversations from Maison Ito, a two-floor apparel boutique in Aoyama with a small online shop. Pick a scenario, then drive it yourself — tap the quick replies and the card buttons, or type something the script never anticipated and watch what the bot does instead of guessing.
What each scenario is showing you
The shopper saved this product in March. When it lands, one push message goes to the twelve people on that product’s opt-in list — not to the whole friends list. Identity, address and card come from the profile, so paying is a tap.
A styling brief with no detail in it. Two questions narrow it, then a carousel of three products that are actually in her size. The wedding-party branch shows the handoff: the bot declines to guess at a couple’s colour rules and books a stylist instead.
Answered from the catalogue notes, the real flat measurements and the shop’s own exchange history — twelve hours before anyone would have replied. It ends by putting a coat on the hold rail, which turns a 21:40 message into a Saturday visit.
One push message, naming the exact items and the true remaining stock. The shopper asks about Saturday delivery; the bot knows the cut-off and the carrier, so the answer is instant and the cart closes.
